Grant for R&D (£138,292 10mth project, 60% TSB-funded)

Building on previous success in applying for TSB-funding and their on-going work together, in autumn 2011, a micro-SME client asked Wax to write an application to TSB’s Grant for R&D fund (this fund is now known as “Smart”).

The deadline was close, but Wax were able to rearrange projects and free up time for the funding application. Wax carried out the work according to a schedule agreed with the client at the start of the project.

The client was able to provide some great information and research for the application. Wax set about writing the application, asking the client questions and sending them drafts. The Application and supporting documents were submitted.

One month after submission, Casper received an email from the client saying the application had been successful. The Application had been successful, despite odds of about 1 in 10. The company are now proving the concept of their innovative business idea and attracting interest for the future.
