Feasibility Study (£33k 3mth project, 75% TSB-funded)

Wax successfully raised £25k Technology Strategy Board grant funding for a startup business intelligence company. The money allowed the Feasibility Study of an innovative system for producing rigorous business intelligence.

Wax is always keen to keep its knowledge up-to-date so Casper attended a briefing day in London, where the Technology Strategy Board (TSB) were giving guidance on how to apply for their latest Feasibility Study competition. Casper took part in a workshop group, where he heard an enthusiastic entrepreneur speak and allude to an innovative business idea.

Casper realised he could help this gentleman and as the workshop wound down, they started to talk about the difficulties faced in unravelling the TSB’s complex application process.

Having signed a Non-disclosure Agreement (NDA), they met in London to discuss how Wax could help and they came to an Agreement. A few weeks later and after several Skype conversations, producing new documents, project plans, risk management tables, gantt charts, sustainability guidance and graphics (and several drafts of the Application), it was ready to submit to TSB.

The application was a success, beating odds of around 1 in 10!

Since the Application Wax and the company have continued to work together on projects including formatting graphical reports and another successful application to TSB for a new business venture by the client.
